Hello my furiends

I hoping to get my creative juices flowing again. I really enjoyed the time I used to spend here, viewing art and e-socializing with my furiends. My mom has requested art for Christmas and I need to get started on it. It really made me happy when she asked for something. She was always so supportive of my works when I was younger.

I have decided to keep DA as an Art only area so my journal will only contain art related topics.

As for the Chrismas present. My Mom has a love for butterflies, humming birds and southwestern/indian collectables. I am thinking of a desert pic with blooming cacti and a hummingbird(s). After searching I have yet to see a photo of a hummingbird at a cactus so I am thinking of perching the hummingbird on a thorny tree branch with cactus in the background.

I am torm between the traditional ruby throated that us easterners have grown to love and the violet capped which although not quite so magnificent looking could be found more often in a desert scene.
